Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 25, 2026
This policy explains what data the Sheet2Calendar add-on for Google Sheets™ ("Sheet2Calendar", "the add-on", "we") accesses, how it is used and where it is stored.
Summary
Sheet2Calendar runs entirely inside your Google account. It has no server of its own. We do not collect, receive, store, sell or share your spreadsheet or calendar data.
Google data the add-on accesses
- The current spreadsheet (scope
spreadsheets.currentonly): the add-on reads the rows of theCalendar_Synctab and writes the event ID and sync status back into that tab. It can also create that tab from a template when you ask it to. It cannot access any other spreadsheet. - Your Google Calendar (scope
calendar): the add-on lists the calendars you own so you can choose a target calendar, and creates and updates events in that calendar using the data in your sheet, including the guest emails you enter. To check that a previously synced event still exists, it looks up the events around that event's date in the same calendar; those events are only compared by ID and are never stored, modified or transmitted. The add-on does not delete events. - Add-on interface (scope
script.container.ui): used to display the menu and the settings sidebar inside Google Sheets.
How the data is used
The data is used only to provide the feature you request: turning the rows of your sheet into calendar events and keeping them up to date. It is not used for advertising, analytics, profiling or training of AI or machine-learning models.
Where the data is stored
- Your events are stored in your own Google Calendar.
- Event IDs and sync status are stored in your own spreadsheet.
- The ID of the calendar you selected is stored in the add-on's user properties, and a temporary row marker used to resume long syncs is stored in the spreadsheet's document properties. Both are stored by Google within your account and are not accessible to us.
No data is transmitted to servers operated by us or by any third party.
Data protection
Sheet2Calendar handles sensitive user data (spreadsheet contents, calendar events and guest email addresses) and protects it with the following mechanisms:
- No external storage or transfer: the add-on runs as a Google Apps Script inside Google's infrastructure. Your data is never copied to, stored on or sent to any server operated by us or by a third party, and we (the developer) have no technical means to access it.
- Encryption: all communication between the add-on and Google Sheets and Google Calendar goes through Google's APIs over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Data at rest stays in your Google account, where Google encrypts it.
- Least privilege: the add-on can only access the spreadsheet it is opened in, not your other files. It only runs when you start an action from its menu or sidebar, acts only on your own account and never deletes events.
- Access control: only you, as the user who authorized the add-on, can run it on your data. Its access is governed by your Google account security (password, 2-Step Verification) and you can revoke it at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- No human access: no person reads your data. It is used only by the add-on, automatically, to perform the sync you request.
- Secure website: this website is served over HTTPS and collects no personal data.
Sharing
We do not share, transfer or sell your data. When you add guest emails to a row, Google Calendar sends those guests an invitation, as it would for any event you create yourself.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Sheet2Calendar's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Retention and deletion
Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing for us to delete. You can remove everything the add-on created at any time: delete the events from your calendar, delete the Calendar_Sync tab, and uninstall the add-on from Extensions → Add-ons → Manage add-ons. You can also revoke its access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Changes to this policy
If the add-on changes in a way that affects how data is handled, this page will be updated and the date above revised.
